After completing her undergraduate degree in History from Athens State University in Athens, Alabama, Taylor moved to Oxford where she earned her law degree from The University of Mississippi School of Law. During law school, she served as an executive articles editor for the Mississippi Law Journal and was a member of the Christian Legal Society and the Federalist Society.  After law school, Taylor moved to Jackson, where she served as a law clerk at the Mississippi Supreme Court for Presiding Justice Jess Dickinson and for Justice Ann Hannaford Lamar. After practicing commercial litigation as an associate at McGlinchey Stafford for three years, she returned to the Court and clerked for Justice Lamar until her retirement in December of 2016. She joined Lamar & Hannaford, P.A. in January of 2017. When she is not practicing law, Taylor enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, movies, concerts and sports.
